Stop Chasing AI Tools. Start Getting Real Results

Everyone is chasing the “best” AI tool.

A few months ago, it was ChatGPT. Then Gemini. Now, the conversation has shifted again, and Claude is getting most of the attention. All the while, Microsoft Copilot continues to evolve steadily in the background.

Each time a platform makes a noticeable leap forward, the same pattern emerges. People abandon their current tool, move to the next one, start again, and then repeat the cycle a few months later.

We are seeing this frequently at Everon, Switched on IT.

However, there is an uncomfortable truth behind this behaviour.

Most people are not yet using their current AI tool properly.

Switching tools can feel like progress. In reality, it is often a way of avoiding the more challenging work. That work includes learning how to write effective prompts, embedding AI into real day to day workflows, using tools like Copilot within the platforms already in use such as Teams, Outlook and Excel, and producing consistent, reliable outputs. It also means measuring impact in a meaningful way.

This is where real value is created.

The choice between Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot is not what determines success.

Organisations that are achieving strong results are not the ones constantly chasing the latest model. They are the ones that have invested time in learning how to use AI effectively. They focus on improving their inputs, refining their approach, and applying AI in ways that deliver tangible outcomes.

The tool itself often remains the same. What changes is how well it is used.

If you are not yet seeing measurable value from AI, the advice is straightforward.

Stop switching tools. Start learning how to use the one you already have
